sucks the first 2 comments spoiled the results. how about you railbirds stop cluttering what could be tremendously insightful PLO thread? phil you should open another site where ppl can pay to chitchat with you about how good or bad you play without any strategy

i think i would fold flop. the combination of you being on a mini-rush in big pots and him betting so big makes me feel good about laying it down. you have a ton of hands in your range with more equity and that play better on later streets. theres not that many good run outs for you. ya we have position and can bluff some turns, but overall i feel like we lose big pots too often, and cant pick it up w/o showdown enough. obv its no fun folding top pair in plo in position HU. i look forward to all the non railbird posts

shoving 4800 into 2300 is balancable but i dont see how that range is going to make you the most money. i think we should try to make an extra $1200 from the hands that arent putting their whole stack in, and save ourselves from getting stacked by nutty hands (JT+) hands that do shove the turn over our bet (and get us to fold). i dont think in this scenario people are making us make a mistake by us folding the turn. is there really that much of a difference between hands that fold to our turn shove, and hands that fold either to a turn bet or the consequent river shove? sure some villain hands improve, but we get to improve too !

i could see myself going allin turn if this was the beginning of a session because then it would be more profitable later. but in the normal course of play i wouldnt try to be making a good turn overshove range. im always betting 1250 and shoving all the rivers except Jx i think.

i dont really c/r good hands here because people check behind black 77 n stuff too much. also we dont have a reason to think hes floaty (where we could gain an extra bet by c/shoving a range). so i guess im not checking and then putting more money in much, but i think thats OK because i'm betting turn and shoving riv so much they cant make money by floating the flop and hoping for a turn check.

all of this is said matter-of-factly but its not like im sure/secure in these ranges. would love some more discussion

im not so sure river is a bet. also i would fold flop a bunch unless you were planning on betting that turn and shoving river to fold out overpair.

i dont think betting turn is repping SUPER thin, as long as you follow it up with river shove. but mostly im just folding flop

if the BB is biggest fish at the table then 3 betting is bad. id be bet/folding turn all day vs pretty much everyone

trying to figure out if he has Tx shouldnt really matter because youre repping less than a pair, not an overpair. i'm definitely not folding J9 although i rarely dont bet that on the flop. also i think you should 4b a tad bit bigger or you get owned too much. we dont know heros preflop stats but it wouldnt be too crazy for villain to 3b 77/88 or have 9xs himself. i would just fold and consider this hand when setting up my next line vs villain

just noticed the hand converter is getting some of the numbers wrong, so its a little easier for gus to shovel it in with stuff--but still i think raising flop is interesting. we should be raising his 1/7 cbet with some non nuttish hands this deep, but it shouldnt be pure bluffs with towelie behind. am i thinking about this wrong?

whats wrong with raising flop (like 7-8k)? it seems like this would be a good hand to do it with. we're too deep vs gus for him to monkey too hard right? or is he going to discount us having 7x too much preflop? also i dont think its a given that we would just call the 2200 with 7xxx hoping towelie reopens the betting.

very interesting stuff-- thanks guys
