Okay the month is at the end and here are my results:
Pokerstars:
https://gyazo.com/30ae374dd1b985b3e79f1f96a6632551
GG poker: (before rake)
https://gyazo.com/cf0f35ebe68ce1255b4ae3e58d016a5f

To be honest I m not happy how I played but since I took pokercoaching webinars my game has been improved. The biggest problem was switching from nl2 to nl5 my expectation was that games will be as soft and spazzy so my mental game started to struggle. I took many times step back and looked at my game and there was mostly mental game errors.

However I m working more on my mental game and RUI are providing with some really good mindset content and being staked now I have sense of responsability and acountability as my game will be reviewd every month with weekly 1on1 coaching. I feel like I will play better with someone else money, sounds weird but yeah let's see.

I m planning to start new blog becuase I don't like this one and I got staked for nl10 so I will post my results daily and the goal will be to get to nl25.

Cheers guys, GL at the tables

be careful of burnout. I was doing same challanges and I know that for me 4th and 5th day gets really hard. Putting less hours per day but being more consistent pays of in long term. But maybe some people are just born grinding machines.

Congratulations! :)

What is your contract 1 year?

I was looking at their website and couldn't find from which limit they are ok to take people on board, I m playing nl5 and nl10. Do I have a chance ?

July 23, 2020 | 10:20 p.m.

i misread the hand, i thought it is HERO BTN vs BB defend. It maes sense to check to BTN flat as we are OOP and he got all the sets + we can't get 3 streets value.

July 21, 2020 | 10:58 a.m.

Can you explain me why you prefer to check flop guys ?
1. He can have only 44 and 88. TT should 3bet with high freq.
2. There are plenty draws vs 44 and 88 - 56s, J9s, Kxs, Qxs (if defends wide) we can get value from KTo, ATo, QTo
3. We are IP.

July 21, 2020 | 9:49 a.m.

Not playing this limit but when you bet turn 1/2 size and shove river 1.5x pot - doesn't it make more sense to bet bigger OTT (to get folds from FD) and then shove dimond rivers ?

I think blocker in this spot is important to have for 2 reasons:
1. Blocking villain flush combos
2. Not over bluffing by ourselves

vs more thinking opponents do we have to be more careful by our line as we 3bet all Axd and suited broadways?

July 21, 2020 | 9:15 a.m.

vs your given range we need 30% EQ and we have 20%

If he folds 10% in this spot its BE shove.

So if he is bet/folding AK here we are printing.

I m pretty aggresive from SB so I have to defend my range, problem is I don't know if this player is attacking my wide 3bet range.

July 17, 2020 | 9:06 a.m.

its nice to see all factors you look at, yeah the problem in this hand is that pool just 4bets too tight and JJ becomes more as a call flop. evaluating turns. I shoved because I thought he could do this with AK as well.
1) Im OOP he will check lots of turns with AK and gets to see all 5 cards for 1/3pot cbet
2) lots of money in the pot and EQ wise we are doing ok vs range: AA,KK, QQ, AK

vs more aggressive V range I would defend AQs and JJ.
I tend to fast play my AA and KK in this spot and on this spot I would fastplay my QQ as well.

When I m IP and V is 3betting happy I tend to call more my AA, KK and sometimes even QQ giving him chance to make a mistake in 3bet being OOP

Guys do you have strategies how you keep your A-game as long as possible ? I think this is crucial part of our strategy. Can someone share their struggles and how they overcame with different strategies.

I will start with myself first.

I used to struggle when I made mistakes at my limit and I had a pain that i would go on higher limit to compensate that previous mistake loss with trying to play good and get back my loss aka chasing after losses. (we all been there right ?)
Trigger: Making a mistake at current grind limit.

how I fix that?
1. I understood that even if I got back my loss back 5x on top - it's a failure! No matter how much you got back, your mindset is flawed. Instead I made for myself rule that I can play poker as long I don't make a mistake and when I make mistake it's a good thing. I have now opportunity review it and learn from it, it's a learning process.
Was that mistake because i didn't know what to do ? (technical mistake)
Was that mistake becuase I was boored ? (mental game mistake)
If that was technical mistake i would review on forum and that made me feel better because i improved my game.
If I made mistake because I was boored I just quit playing because i need to reset my energy or if you really want to play make a stop loss for 1 more buyin and quit if you make another mistake.

  1. Another thing I constantly was reminding myself that checking your short term results is what will keep me back from progress and in long run it will only hurt me because variance is part of the game. Insted I was trying to focus only on my volume and keeping A-game as long as possible. (this is big one)

  2. I was doing cashouts as much possible because i would check less my balance.

  3. Be physically active, I try to get some running at least for 15min every day.
Here is my blog how I approach game: https://www.runitonce.com/chatter/lets-approach-this-game-as-an-athlete-5/

Lets not be mental game fishes and keep looking for our mental game flaws.

July 14, 2020 | 8:06 a.m.

We will make a schedule. Sweat sessions might benefit the most.

Hi guys,

I m looking for likeminded people who wants to make poker as primary income. Currently playing nl5 with some nl10.
Entry level to this group is to beat nl2 at decent sample size. We are on this limit to improve - not to make money.

The idea is to have you on discord where we can schedule sweat sessions, discuss strategy , mental game strategy and other cool stuff to improve each other.

Please DM me if interested.
