I’d bet. He can call lighter than that if he decides you’re overbluffing which is possible with 67s, 78s, 68s, and clubs as pretty natural bluffs.

Just found out about this thread recently and have read it all, really inspiring. I was one of those people who had you tagged as spewy reg too so this has opened my eyes haha!

Thanks for doing it and best of luck in 2019.

Comment | Hova commented on 100z - hero fold?

Raising flop is questionable given BB has way more straights than me and I never get it in vs worse. Then I just play huge pot oop with face up range.

For value I expect straights only yeah. Anyway 77/88 is only 6 combos, JTo/56o/T6s is 35combos so even if it's assumptive it's not a huge deal. Knowing if he bluffs here enough is the real question and I don't think the answer is yes.

yes.

Getting shoved on is bad for us with this hand and a 59/7 player only raises strong hands and limps all his weaker ones so you will get shoved on quite often when 3betting a 7% raise range (which may be even tighter than 7% since he's UTG)

Dec. 18, 2018 | 4:35 p.m.

Horrible spot but I wouldn't fold vs a perceived fun player (given flop action).

Dec. 18, 2018 | 4:31 p.m.

Awesome vid Tyler thanks. Great pace and a lot of creative plays.

When you think a player is overfolding a spot should we just bet every time or how do you decide? For example @21min when you bet 1/5th pot 3ways on QQ2h4h w J9o and think he is not going to defend vs pot on turn enough whats the best strategy? Should we be barrelling 100% of our air here? (assuming villain wouldn't be aware of it)

Thanks

Hey Ben thanks for vid.

At 32min we raise turn KQcc on AQXcJc are we calling or folding vs a jam from villain? Do we just not expect him to have any shoves? Thanks

Nov. 6, 2018 | 10:15 a.m.

Hi Ben, QQ 9min we squeeze vs from 110, 110 call to 563, then next hand we 3bet hasha w KK from 125 to 643. Why do we go bigger vs 1 player and smaller pot than with the squeeze? I would do the opposite usually, thanks

Oct. 24, 2018 | 9:49 p.m.

Hi Henry,

Given this why do you use rng? Why not just tilt close decisions with other factors like say villains fold to Cbet stat where higher than average - bet, lower than average - check for example?

Thanks

Welcome.

Interesting style you seem to give up a lot of spots that I would auto cbet or continue for example AsKc on Qxxccc @2.20, and Q9dd @34mins. Do you have a lower than average wwsf and what do you make of that stat, overhyped or important?

Also would be cool to see some graphs or win rates for the introduction in your next vid.

Hey Paul, thanks for vid.

I don't know if that was variance but I've never seen a game with so much 4betting, seemed like every hand!

When you say 'pio calls everytime' with the 77 what sort of hands was it expecting villain to shove with? And do you think he is shoving close to what pio is?

Aug. 23, 2018 | 8:48 a.m.

Hey,

1.28 we x/f turn after calling flop QJcc on ATxsscTc, are you calling on Kc turn? Also can we not have some leads on this Tc and if so would this not be better than x/f'n such a strong hand?

Also, all the hand charts you have posted on the wall did you make them yourself or buy them from somewhere?

thanks

The latest consensus on keto seems to be that it has short term benefits but can damage longevity. Joe Rogan is setting up debates on his podcast soon with vegan vs meat advocates and the same for keto vs no keto which should be interesting.

From all the information I've consumed keto seems to have benefits but the plant based Dr's say it's representative of your body in starvation mode - this makes sense to me evolutionarily as your body may try to perform at peak physically and mentally to optimise hunting/survival success but with long term consequences. This is obviously just my shower thoughts theory but it makes the most sense to me. Again I am no expert in this field either just a fan and looking forward to these podcast discussions in which people might be interested.

Interesting, I like to follow nutrition also and disagree with the majority of your post. I’m not claiming to be an expert either though.

It’s pretty well known we don’t ‘need’ animal products to survive or even thrive. They pretty much all come with some sort of negative health effect and almost no positives that you can’t get from something without the negatives.

For example you mentioned fish contains mercury and you don’t need it to survive so why eat a mercury containing food often? You can get omega 3’s from flax/chia seeds without the risk. Or you can use algae powder.

Cheese and eggs also appear to be dreadful for you and almost every study stating otherwise seems to be funded by them. Milk is also not a healthy thing to consume.

Oils are also just bad in almost every case. A bottle of refined fat how can this be good. Here is a good link about this. https://nutritionfacts.org/2017/10/17/what-about-extra-virgin-olive-oil/

The thing everyone seems to agree on is eat whole foods and avoid too much sugar, salt and saturated fat. So imo this is the safest bet and given what I said about the animal products above I would stick to mainly plant ones.

The site I linked is helpful the Dr makes videos discussing all the latest studies and it is a non profit.

Aug. 14, 2018 | 4:04 p.m.

How do you tend to link these 3 stats? Is there any sort of formula you can use to get a number that would give truer impression of players aggression/style?

I assume the gap between WWSF and W$SD would indicate how aggr people are but not sure how to use WTSD in there? If that's high along with the others likely that its run good over aggression for sample?

thanks

Q6ss we open co (is this profitable with 3 regs behind?) and double barrel full pot on turn KJ2hhhTc. What rivers are you following through on here if any?

I agree Dan I don't think the average 100 reg is shoving those hands, that said I still think JJ is a call but maybe only breakeven from the ranges I plugged in to HoldemEQ.

Don't like x/r on flop really, a lot of his hands that continue have good equity vs your hand and he has position so bloating the pot here isn't going to be great for us. He can easy float his gutshots and barrel you on spades/J/9/8/6 if you check then you're in tough spots.

As played def calling river with that price, he's an unknown with rec stats could have anything including worse Tx for value.

Comment | Hova commented on 2NLz Set vs aggressive BB

Call. You don't have enough info to make hero folds.

TT and QJs sometimes 3bets so you only lose to maybe 10 combos so if you can find 4 bluffs/worse hands you should call. KTo alone is 7 hands. If you add 87dd, J8dd easy call.

It's 2nl so making assumptions about players that leads to hero folding sets is probably a bad idea.

Aug. 1, 2018 | 12:44 p.m.

Hey,

Looks like your IP winrates are pretty low. Your RFI% seems ok from ep/mp but I think you're playing 5% too many hands on button and cut off. Would aim for 42-45% BTN, 23-26%. Your WTSD% is also very low looks like you're folding too many rivers should be around 30% I believe. Since its 10nl I would try and play tighter than you are because of the rake I would suspect 21/17/6 type stats would be better at this stake.

First thing I would do is check some preflop opening charts and adjust your opening ranges. You could also check your HEM from each position to see what hands are winning/losing from each seat and stop opening all the ones that are losing. This should help a lot. GL.
